This is one is a series of necklaces inspired by Frida Kahlo. She wore big chunky stones close to her throat. This one is polished turquoise interspersed with African wood beads, sterling silver, and heishi sea shell beads. This necklace is meant to be worn close to the neck--The body of the necklace measures approximately twelve inches; however, the closure is a simple tie made to slip over ones head and tied in the back which makes it easily to adjust for length and comfort. I use the tie closure frequently because of my own allergies to metals.
